2007-12-21

A2SO4 project manager, Mark Darrall, LEED AP, has been elected to a two-year term serving on the board of directors for the Indiana Chapter of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). USGBC is a non-profit organization known for the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System, which has been designed to accelerate the adoption of sustainable green building and development.

Through his role on the Board of Directors, Mark will help guide the Indiana Chapter using the expertise gained from his architectural and building-related experience. Most recently, that experience has involved the development of A2SO4 EcoIntegration, an integrative design process focusing on the Triple Bottom Line philosophy of not only financial and ecological benefit, but also benefit to the world as a whole.

Upon being informed of the results of the election, A2SO4 founding partner Sanford Garner, AIA, NOMA, NCARB, said the following:

“The issues that USGBC addresses are of critical importance to our business and to our industry as a whole, and so I am very pleased to hear that Mark will be able to use the knowledge and passion that have played such a vital role in helping A2SO4 embrace green and sustainable design to provide guidance to other firms who are facing these issues.”
