Mayor George Pabey and the City of East Chicago, in conjunction with The Community Builders, Inc. and Hispanic Housing Development Corporation, held a Revitalization Kick-off Event on Wednesday, November 19, 2008. Sanford Garner, principal at A2SO4, spoke about the architectural approach to the design of the townhomes. This modern urban housing development, The Shores on Broadway, is the initial revitalization housing component in the North Harbor Community.

Angle on Success – Conversation With Wil Marquez

Wil Marquez took his first step on the career path of design by constructing snowforts in his Portage backyard. But these days, you might say the 30-year-old designer creates tall buildings in a single bound.

Marquez is the director of A2SX, the digital design branch of Indy architecture firm A2S04. His range of work includes retail centers, businesses, private interiors and, more recently, chairs and handbags. Before that, he was a graduate architect with A2S04, working on skyscrapers in Abu Dhabi and loft buildings in Indianapolis, and traveling to locales as diverse as Morocco, Argentina – and Minneapolis.
