ACLU of Indiana Office
The ACLU of Indiana building is located near the junction of East Washington and Southeastern Avenue in Indianapolis. The current space has multiple challenges including dated lighting, inefficient facilities, piecemeal furniture, ADA noncompliance and an aging exterior. Since the exterior has unique historic attributes, the design team has suggested simple remedies to update and accentuate the façade including replacing the aged window system with new energy efficient glazing, removing overgrown bushes, and adding new green space.
The proposed interior reveals a reinvigorated lobby that unfolds into the office core revealing a playful, yet organized layout that takes advantage of natural light. A mid-century palette renders the office modern and progressive.
