Noblesville Fire Station No. 7

Following the successful completion of Fire Stations 5 and 6, the City of Noblesville commissioned A2SO4 to design the city’s 7th fire house. The project goal was to reduce operation and maintenance costs. The station will also decrease response time near Exit 10 on Interstate 69, which is a fast growing commercial development center.

In collaboration with Argo Consulting Engineers, R.W Armstrong and CBA, A2SO4 designed a state of the art, high performance fire station. The firehouse was designed with expandable bunkroom space, a community room with a capacity of 85 and a pond for practice and dive training. The project is seeking a silver LEED rating. All materials contain recycled content or low VOC properties. The windows were constructed to take full advantage of natural lighting patterns and cross ventilation systems to reduce energy costs. Additionally, about half of the 10 acre site will be planted with prairie grasses for site management. This building will be produced at a cost that was relatively the same per square foot as previous Noblesville fire stations.
